2010 Hall of Fame has recognized two of our cities most influential personalities into an elite group of sports icons. How lucky were we as fans to have these men involved in our lives. Every fall this city becomes energized with the thought of our Utah jazz taking the court. John Stockton and Jerry Sloan have been names I have grown up with and names I will never forget. Now these men will live on for eternity in the pro basketball hall of fame. I am so glad to see this, they we two of three corner stones of our Utah jazz. I remember watching their games with my dad who introduced me to the game and without knowing it he made me a lifetime fan of the game of basketball just like many other father son duos conversations revolved around the jazz. john Stockton was a name we uttered many times both of us uttering shoot it or nice pass.We also took notice of the man on the bench leading a charge against retarded calls by the refs.

John Stockton was an amazing point guard for our team also a tremendous basketball player. Some say cheap or dirty I prefer solid or even gritty. The man had no fear setting picks on much larger men and not budging one inch. The golden boy (John Stockton) stood only six foot one inch tall and weighed in at one hundred seventy pounds but the wight was all heart holding the all time steals recorded with 3,265 steal an unreal 30% higher rate the the number two steals man Micheal Jordan. John also holds the record for assists with 15,806 witch to me is a mark of a true point guard. But if you want to know the most amazing stat he owns I believe it to be games played that number should blow your mind it is 1,504 out of 1,526 games played. The only word that comes to mind it tough, This guy is very tough. I don't think enough players put in that kind of time on the court these days and that is why John should be co
considered as the best point guard of all time.

Now for the coach Jerry Sloan what can I say how about his numbers do the talking, 1137 wins 751 loses, not bad right. We have been lucky to have the man as the coach of our team willing to step up to the plate for our guys on the court without hesitation. Thank you Sloan for all the wins they made us as fans excited for every season.
